Advanced Procedures

IMPORTANT:
This document provides information on procedures for the advanced user of Cyberware hardware and software. Under no circumstances should a user attempt these procedures, except under the direction of a Cyberware technician. These procedures permanently modify the scanner's settings and there is no ability to revert to the previous or factory default settings.
ProcedurePurpose
Windows 7 Compatability Mode Most programs written for Windows XP also work in Windows 7, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If CyScan doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility settings for the program. To change settings for a program manually, use the individual program's Compatibility tab.
Save USB Configuration Files Use this procedure to save the EEPROM configuration to plain text files.
Load the Factory Configuration This procedure may be used to reset the scanner's EEPROM to the factory default settings or to load plain text configuration files into the scanner's EEPROM.
Reload the Factory Configuration This procedure may be used to reset the scanner's EEPROM to the factory default settings.
Link Cyberware Devices Associates each Cyberware device to the others in order to create a complete scanner setup.
Reset the USB Link This procedure will reset the USB setup and remove Cyberware entries from the Registry.
Switch Motion Platforms This procedure outlines the steps to move a 3030 scanhead from one motion platform to another and enable the software to work with this type of setup.
